Mull & Weithman recently completed a feasibility study for additions and renovations to the City of Cambridge’s main fire station. The purpose of the study was to explore the possibility of modifying the existing building instead of building a new station on a different site. The existing station is located on a tight site in a residential section of the City with significant grade changes. To meet the goals of the department, M&W has developed a scheme that maximizes all available space and incorporates a lower level with garage space for smaller apparatus.
